THESIS ON ANIRIDIA
In the Department of Ophtalmology of the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad
Complutense of Madrid, Dra. Eva Vico, under the direction of Dr. Julián García Feijoo,
will carry out a PhD. thesis on Aniridia.
In this endeavor she is relying on the collaboration of a good number of the members of
the Spanish Association of Aniridia and patients of other public and private hospitals.
This important and ambitious research project on aniridia, its situation and evolution
within the Spanish population, will be based on different ophtalmological tests, on the
analysis of the medical records of the patient, and on other relevant factors of interest.
Obviously, the larger the number of participants in this project, the more reliable the
results will be. For this reason, all those affected by aniridia are asked to join the
group and cooperate with the study.
